Recognizing that Boss Lyonie has been mind controlled by Minister Rish Loo, they break Loo’s magical hold, but Lyonie is seriously wounded. ’Shadow Warrior’ summed up: Rumors that the Gungans plan to attack Theed jointly with the Separatists bring Padmé and Anakin to Otoh Gunga. It makes me wish that this storyline was spread out across two episodes, with the first half of the story (the Gungan plot) separate from the capture of Anakin and the prisoner exchange. You have 8 weapon slots for a reason.‘Shadow Warrior’ is a fantastic episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars – while only a half hour long, the story covered so much ground, and really captured the feel of Star Wars. You have to make yourself a specialized weapon for every occasion, which is where the game excels, as you can make any weapon into any element or tune it as you see fit. Shooting everything willy nilly with a random gun is not going to work. Also, you just have to conform to the game's resistance/vulnerability system. I always play it in the style of playing on the highest one I have unlocked at the moment, but you can lower it at any time to suit your needs. If you feel the enemies are too tough, the game has like 10 difficulty options. Once you learn which affixes are the important ones, going over the gems once an hour takes a couple of minutes at most. Due to the very small size of the pool of possible affixes that can spawn on a gem, it is really not difficult to pick the correct ones. The gems or "loot" is numerous but not complex. And the gems drop in such a quantity, it is absolutely not necessary to grind for anything ever. All the weapons in SW 2 are in static locations. In those games, you have to rely on RNG to get a couple usable guns among millions of trash drops. Comparing the game to Diablo or Borderlands is simply not valid. And next, there is the questionable "political" decisions surrounding the game as has been pointed out in this thread. The overly cartoony style doesn't help either. It seems to be HEAVILY going in the route of the nu-Dooms, which I frankly did not like that much.

Firstly because of what I've seen of the game so far. SW 2 was different and often times worse in some areas (mostly stemming from the partial focus on co-op, so level design, story and overall playthrough structure) but the gunplay was one of the best in any FPS to date. I can get behind loot (admittedly I'd rather not have it) and skills if they are implemented well, but health scaling is something I dislike in a shooter. What I was trying to say was that in my oppinion bullet sponges have no place in an FPS, a headshot should kill, not a dozen. I admit, that comparison was a rather odd one. Basically shooters should forever be stuck in the 90s, preferably never moving past Unreal (or even Doom, for extra hardcore true FPS fan points). It often feels like a particularly grognard-y bunch. I kinda feel like FPS fans are very, very strict in how they see FPS games should be. Not that I see why it being more like an RPG would be a bad thing, even if I considered it even remotely true. I mean, no offence, but to me saying that a game where you spend 100% of your time shooting things, has no other mechanics than those for shooting things, no story choices (and a super thin story overall), no character customisation, no character stats, and basically no way to, you know, roleplay, is more like an RPG than a shooter because it has loot is just crazy. Breja: That sounds super weird to me, but I guess it only goes to show how such terms have become near meaningless today.
